Information Literacy Skills are taught at the elementary school level. For example, Clayton County Public schools in Jonesboro, Georgia has a checklist of behaviors required through grades K-5

This is a very useful link. I especially like how from first grade they begin incorporating proper research skills, note taking and appropriate uses of information technology. I think this is a great guide to assist with instruction, post in the classroom and the media center.
