From a worldwide perspective, information literacy in today's global economy demands that instructors are able to successfully interact with a wide variety of people. In a global interconnected world, we cannot afford to remain isolationist and ignorant of other ways of being (Banks, 2007;Banks et al., 2005). With this being the case, educators at all levels of schooling are reinterpreting the curricula and methods of instruction to take on a more multicultural education approach. For instructors teaching IL, one whould constantly ask themselves how to effectively address these issues in instructional endeavors.
